Quality and safety
Company owned production facilities
Groeneveld has the philosophy that if you want to provide a really good product, you need to develop and manufactures it yourself. That is the reason why the company has its own development centres in the Netherlands (mainly for the ICT division), Israel (safety support products) and Italy (main production facility). Groeneveld assembles all its products in its own production facilities. In addition to the in-house production, a lot of components are acquired from specialised suppliers, with whom Groeneveld has built a close relationship through the years.
Continuous investments in R&D
Each year, Groeneveld invests more than 5% of its turnover in the development of new products and the further development of existing products. As a result, Groeneveld has been able to supply leading products that perfectly meet the requirements of its customers for more than 45 years.
ISO/TS is the highest quality standard in the demanding automotive industry and goes well beyond the well-known ISO 9001 standard. Like ISO 9001, which Groeneveld satisfies since the early 90s, ISO/TS is geared towards process quality. Nonetheless, ISO/TS 16949 sets out in more emphatic terms the requirements for the quality management system regarding the design and development, production and installation of automotive-related products. The latest and most stringent automotive quality standard places a far greater degree of emphasis on aspects such as continuous improvement and preventing mistakes and waste. Aspects you can do plenty about, especially on the shop floor. This new standard is much more closely involved at the level of production staff and is more in tune with tools such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.
Of course we take care of the environment by keeping the impact of our operational processes on the environment as small as possible. Therefore Groeneveld is also ISO 14001 certified.
World Class Manufacturing
Groeneveld focusses on continuous improvement of all logistics, production and organisational processes. On the road to World Class Manufacturing the company applies SixSigma principles and lean manufacturing and development processes, with continuous improvement and offering best-in-class quality and delivery reliability as prime aim.
